Wisdom teeth removal

Third molars, or "wisdom" teeth, are the last teeth to erupt into the mouth, typically between 17-25 years of age. Wisdom teeth often do not have enough room to erupt normally into position and can stay "impacted" below the gums or the bone. This can create a variety of well-documented problems, including pain, infection, difficulty eating, damage to adjacent teeth, crowding of teeth and cyst formation.

While treatment for wisdom teeth is individualized to each patient, most patients will benefit from having these teeth removed before problems occur.
